File Base Requirement Specifications

File Storage Format

PC format or iMac format

File Software Format

Photoshop or / illustrator file and TIF files work best for lenticular imaging. 3D images should be provided as layered in PSD files.

Please prepare all art files in .psd, .tif, .jpg, .eps, .ai or any other format that is compatible with Photoshop or Illustrator.

File DPI

Text font size

Please keep all file artwork at least 300dpi. And 1:1 artwork size

We advise text al least 8pt size, any type under 8pt. is difficult to read under the lenticular lens.

File Transported

Accepted file on CD’s, DVD, or upload file to our FTP Server
(DO NOT attachment by E-mail a file larger than 5MB.)

Color Mode

CMYK. We prefer to receive files in CMYK color format because RGB files can have different color results when converted to CMYK for printing.

Color Proof

For editing artwork

Please provide a color proof printed of your artwork file or by PDF file.

Don’t convert text to graphics. Include all fonts (printer/screen) in a separate folder. Keep type at a minimum of 9 pts for readability purposes under the lens.

3D Effect

 

 

For the best 3D effect, backgrounds should be nondescript but feature some sort of texture, pattern or noise. Plain colored backgrounds will diminish the amount of viewable depth. Items which are showcased and have text which must be clearly read, should be featured on the object or middle plane of depth

Front layer object: should be large in size and better close to the adge (at lease one tenth of the picture)

Middle layer object: usually the focus of the picture where you want it to be seen very clearly.

Background :should avoid plain background

Changing/Flip

2 Views - Totally different pictures or animation could be used. Please try to avoid large area of white or yellow color to minimize the shadow of another picture.

3 Views - Totally different pictures or animation could be used. Please try to avoid large area of white or yellow color to minimize the shadow of another picture.

4 Views / 5 Views / 6 Views or over - we advise animation only, with each frame on a separate layer.

ZOOM

Should be a darker color moving over a lighter color. stay away from horizontal or vertical lines running in same direction as the lens.
